Nature's nightmare
HOLLY - Much of this small Southeastern Colorado town still had no electricity Thursday as residents began cleaning up the wreckage caused by a devastating tornado that killed a 29-year-old mother of two, destroyed at least five homes and damaged at least 50 more Wednesday night. Homes in this town of about 1,000 people were reduced to splintered wood and mere bricks as the 600-foot-wide tornado - which came without warning - ripped a path through Holly, which is located about 4 miles west of the Kansas border on U.S. 50. The tornado struck about 8 p.m. and yanked Rosemary Rosales, 29, and her 3-year-old daughter, Noelia Puga, from her husband's grasp as the twister shredded their modular home. Rosales and the child were flung into a nearby tree. Rosales was flown by helicopter to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, but died of her injuries at about 5:30 a.m.

It is an interesting development for the Southport Sharks, who have put in a request for an AFL licence since 1996 and are determined to see a Coast team. The unofficial line from the club is that the AFL has consistently told them they will speak to them once they know what they are doing. Sharks CEO Paul Wyatt said he is happy to speak to the Kangaroos, or any club for that matter, about the possibility of relocating to the Coast. But the Sharks' preference remains to have their own licence. Wyatt said he expects and hopes to see a Coast team within two years. "We are in 2007 and a licence to come to the Coast you would think it would need 12 months to effectively create a foundation so 2009 realistically," he said. .

I could end this article with that said, however, and following a day researching the power of money, I am filled to brimming with thoughts on money and the attainment of power alone. First, let me say this: if you are a parent and you havent found Dr. Dennis Cuddys series titled Mental Health, Education, and Social Control, you are clueless about your childs social, political, mental, and physical entrapment and vulnerability. For the sake of your children, read this series TODAY. I will post the link at the end of this article.
